Short Bio
Internationally recognized portraitist, Linda Harris Reynolds has been creating award-winning, expressive portraits for families and individuals for the past thirty-five years nationwide. Now located in the historic teaching studio of famed artist Howard Pyle in Delaware. “My artistic life’s work has been about capturing the spirit of both people and animals in pictures; telling their stories in a single frame.”
Statement
Endlessly fascinated by people and the human form; I endeavor to capture that which cannot be put into words about being human. My life’s passion has been portrait/ figure painting and drawing. The immediacy and universal nature of the human form seems to encompass everything I have to say, it’s detail and subtly revealing the feelings I want to express, and the intricate story it inevitably reveals. My personal narrative work is very much from a feminine point of view. My imagery talks of feminine strength, and determination, as well as issues regarding self-esteem and parental estrangement that I have personally experienced.
